Probation is the supervision of criminal offenders in the community by probation officers.

Responsible for a wide range of public safety services including; prevention, detection, and investigation of crimes, management of a 9-1-1 dispatch center, search and rescue, court security services, serving mandated writs, warrants, and other notices issued by the Court, as well as serving as the Coroner of Lassen County.

General and emergency services, criminal investigation, traffic enforcement, and accident reporting, parking enforcement, and Animal Control Services.
